My professional journey began at a secondary hotel school in Prague, and from the very beginning it was clear that the hotel industry would be more than just a job – it would become a long-term professional path and challenge. After graduating, I moved on to large international hotels, where I gradually gained experience across everyday hotel operations.
Over the years, I have worked my way through a wide range of roles – from the catering department and management positions to co-managing my own department, organising catering events, and taking part in hotel pre-opening and opening projects. These experiences eventually led me into senior management roles within well-known international hotel chains, including Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre, Hotel International, and Hotel Forum (today’s Corinthia Hotel Prague).
I have continued to develop my professional expertise through specialised training programmes at leading hotel companies, as well as a degree in hotel management and tourism in Prague. In recent years, I have been working at the Vienna House by Wyndham Diplomat Prague, where I am deeply involved in Back of House management, with a particular focus on housekeeping.
I consider housekeeping to be a key pillar of hotel operations. In my work, I place strong emphasis on service quality, systematic staff training and motivation, modern management approaches, and effective cost control. For many years, I have worked to challenge outdated perceptions of housekeeping and to elevate both the department and its employees to a higher professional standard. An integral part of my work is also the introduction of ecological and sustainable practices into hotel operations.
Education has always been central to my professional focus. I work closely with hotels to develop their teams and set clear operational standards. I lead professional housekeeping courses and training programmes, share practical experience from real hotel environments, and act as a consultant supporting the effective management of this crucial area of hotel operations.
